From Overwhelmed to Overflowing – A Miracle in Malawi
The sun had barely risen over rural Malawi when our small U.S. medical team began the journey into the bush. We were only twenty people, carrying limited supplies, heading toward a remote mud-brick church where we had been invited to provide medical care. We expected dozens. Instead, we found thousands.

Masese, a community on the outskirts of Jinja, Uganda, is a place of resilience — but also deep challenge. Jobs are almost nonexistent. Most families survive through informal labor.
Many live one crisis away from hunger. When H.E.L.P. International began serving through the primary school in Masese, we quickly recognized something important: The problem was not a lack of talent. It was a lack of opportunity.
